In the past, I was attracted to the bad boy. We all know him. The one that loves more than one woman's attention, spends more time with his friends than you & idea of romance is a redbox and a bottle of alcohol. Now don't get me wrong dating bad boys are exciting because they're so spontaneous but nothing ever last with them. Bad boys are seasonal flings or baby daddies but never husbands.
I want a husband.
So reevaluating, I've decided there are a few things my partner must have:
1. An education. Now I know people can still make money without having degrees but that is not why I feel an education is important in a partner. One reason it's important to me is I am an educator. How can I be proud to be an educator but have a partner who does not value education. Now don't get me wrong, he does not have to have the same love for education as I do even tho that would be nice but he has to have some type of education.
2. Man of God. There is only one reason why this is important to me... So our children can be raised in the church. When I was younger, my parents weren't very religious. My mom did not go to church much and my dad took us to church but went outside to smoke or told us we were leaving after communion. I don't want my kids to be 26 before they realize how important living a Christian life is to true happiness. Therefore, a husband who has a strong faith is a must.
3. Family oriented. It is very important that my partner is family oriented. I value family and the role family plays in a persons life. I need someone who values family but in a logical manner.
To me these three values are the most important features a man could have in being a good husband. Along with communication, trust & love. Signing out.
